Stations of the Cross

Last Tuesday, our village had Stations of the Cross. We always do this during Lenten Season and I was the one who arranged the altar outside our house. We have the 6th Station. This is a tradition that I really appreciate doing in our village because we remember Jesus' sacrifice for us.

By the way, Lent in 2011 will start on Wednesday, the 9th of March and will continue for 46 days until Saturday, the 23rd of April.

In Western Christianity Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and concludes on Holy Saturday. The six Sundays in Lent are not counted among the forty days of lent because each Sunday represents a "mini-Easter", a celebration of Jesus' victory over sin and death.

Have a blessed Lenten Season everyone. =)

  3. Well, kudos to those people who organized it. I'm not that active in our village so I was really happy that there are people who made this possible. Thanks for the comment. =)

  4. My family does Visita Iglesia every Lent, though I don't always go with them. It's good your neighbor hood does this. Fosters community spirit and spiritual development. =)
