Late Lunch at Kitaro

Last Thursday, May 24 Paul and I went to SM Marilao to watch a movie but we got disappointed when we found out that their cinemas were a 'one time viewing only' and the movies we wanted to watch were already starting. Out of disappointment, we just decided to eat lunch and stroll around the mall afterwards. We can't decide where to eat. Good thing we saw Kitaro. We both love Japanese food especially sashimi. =)

What we ordered:

California Maki

Tuna Sashimi

Miso Soup

Shrimp Tempura

Our hungry tummies were really full and we were able to finish all of the food except the rice. We had 1 order of rice and I can say that they were generous with the rice. I think it was more than 1 cup. We drank 1 bottle of ice cold beer and it was really refreshing. After eating, we ended up shopping.

Chic&Cheap: Floral Dress

Just wanna share what I wore when we went to Anilao, Batangas. It's a floral dress I bought from Mint. My eyes grew big when I saw the SALE sign from this dress so without thinking twice, I immediately went inside the fitting room to try it. And luckily, I like the fit. =)

summer hat - from Tagaytay - P100  ($2.50)
earrings - 168 mall - P20 ($.50) SALE
floral dress - Mint - P300 ($7) SALE
sunnies and slippers - GIFT

That's how cheap my outfit was. I don't believe in spending much to become fashionable. Just be resourceful and patient in finding the affordable and nice pieces. Yes, patience is virtue - sometimes you have to compare the quality and prices of the items you are planning to buy. And sometimes you have to go around the mall/place and go from store to store to compare and find the right item for you.

Philpan Diving Resort

Last May 12, we went to Anilao, Batangas to do some snorkeling. It was a very hot day and we just wanted to take dip at the beach to enjoy the heat of summer.

Again, I was amazed by the old structures that we passed by along Taal, Batangs.

Paul already went here before so he's already familiar with the place. One of their staff even recognized him. Well the resort was just simple, it was rocky and has no sand it's mainly for snorkeling and scuba diving. If you're not choosy like us, you'll definitely like this resort. It's somehow cozy and some of the staff are nice and accommodating.

We arrived there at around 4pm already so we hurriedly changed and went to the beach right away. The water was clear but it was very rocky. Paul had to wear slippers while swimming but I wasn't comfortable with that so I had to bear that uncomfy feeling while stepping on them but I got used to it after a couple of minutes.

I saw different types of fishes. I had hard a time taking pictures of them since most of the fishes are small. They are also camera shy 'coz everytime they see the flash my camera, they would swim away from me.

Shy fish. This fish was trying to hide in the rocks. Good thing I was able to take a nice shot before he was able to hide.

Blue fishes! I got this one from the video I took. I love their color.

We went off the beach when the sun was about to set. We took a rest while waiting for our dinner. We had grilled tilapia, fried tulingan and chop suey. The chop suey doesn't taste like it 'coz it's buttery so I called it buttered veggies. Maybe it's their own version of chop suey. We were eating dinner while the sun was setting down and it was very relaxing.

Sunset is love. ^_^ The sky was very calm and even turned into purple. We still wanted to swim but it was already dark so hopefully we could come back here again. Mejo nabitin kami. LOL

Most hospitals in our country are named after a significant person, saint or place but this one is really interesting... and unique.

The Importance of Saving Money

We should be wise enough in handling our own money so that we'll have something to use in emergency situations. In my case, I have a piggy bank in my room wherein everyday I drop coins in it (usually 10 peso). This is really helpful for me especially when I was just a student because we usually spend a lot on our school projects. But now, I usually deposit the coins I save from my piggy bank almost every month. Another thing I do to save money is that I don’t buy things that are not important. I prioritize the things that we really need and I always consider the quality of an item before buying it so it could last long. That's why I am able to Spend Less and Save More. But I don't deprive myself from buying things that I want. If I have extra money then I can buy clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. as long as I know my limits. Sometimes I go to bazaars because clothes are a lot cheaper there compared with the branded ones. I am really practical in buying my stuffs. Since we are in recession, being a wise money spender is necessary nowadays.

Blue Margarita

Sippin' a cold blue margarita while enjoying our crispy pata - sinful food but very yummy. We love eating in this garden restaurant because they have nice huts and it's full of plans. This place is cozy and very relaxing. They serve delicious foods, too and no wonder it is visited by many people.

Jessica Sanchez & Jennifer Holliday - "And I am Telling You I'm Not Going"

This is really a wonderful performance by Jennifer Holliday and Jessica Sanchez. It showed how powerful Jessica's voice is. I had goosebumps when I watched this video. Though Jessica didn't make it on AI, I know there's a lot of opportunities for her. Besides, being a runner-up is not bad after all. It wasn't easy to reach her place. I really believe in her talent.

By the way, Filipinos are indeed creative. I have seen some pictures shared through Facebook that was captured from their performance and they even put some captions on it. LOL

Just to make you laugh guys, I know a lot of Jessica Sanchez' fans were sad about the result. But who knows, she might still be successful like the other former American Idol runner-up like Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson.

Regency Beauty Institute

I've noticed that more and more people are getting interested with cosmetology. Numbers of schools offering cosmetology education has been increasing, too. But before enrolling to any beauty school, we should be extra careful in choosing which ones offer good quality of education. Regency Beauty is one of the most reputable beauty school in the United States and it continues to expand. They produce a highly competitive and sought after graduates across the country. I'm sure we don't want to waste our money and time in a school that won't give us what we need. Besides, we want to be competitive in this field, right?

What Makes You Happy?

We need money to survive and to sustain our daily needs but is this really what makes a person happy? Some may want to become a millionaire or billionaire because that's what they think would give them a blissful life but some are contented with just enough money and live a simple life. On my part, i need money to buy my needs and to be able to help my family. When I was young, I dreamed of becoming a rich woman but that changed when I grew up. I've realized that money is not everything. It's not what a person needs to become happy. There are other things that would make our life meaningful like the love we get from our loved ones, spending quality time with them, having a family and children, and most of all, blessings from God. These things are priceless!!!

Eat More Veggies

This past few days, I've noticed that I've been eating mostly meat so I think it's time for me to eat more veggies again next week. I feel like I've gained weight and I don't want that to happen. I should be strict with my diet this time so I can bring back my old figure. =)

Banana Blossom Patties

I learned this recipe from my lola when I was a kid. I just observed her on how to do it. Even my sister used to cook this dish so I was able to recall on how it was done.

You need:
1 whole banana blossom (medium sized)
1/4 cup flour
2 eggs
minced garlic
minced onion
salt and pepper to taste.

Procedure:
1. Remove the mature bracts of the banana blossom, the red colored ones and save the banana fingers. You can also save the young (flesh colored) bracts.
2. Wash thoroughly in running water.
3. Chop the young bracts and fingers thinly.
4. Mix the chopped young bracts and fingers together with the flour, minced garlic, minced onion, 2 eggs, salt and pepper.
5. Get a spoonful and shape it into patties.
6. Then fry until golden brown.

Bizzare

Yesterday, I was just thinking about how busy you were that you didn't even have the time to visit me at home in the morning before you go to work. I was about to tell you this in person today or tomorrow but suddenly you sent an SMS message saying: "Gud Morning Luv! Di ako pasok am. Pwede ako punta jan? Gcng ka na ba?" Did you read my mind or just coincidence? Anyway, I just love surprises.

Craving for Kimchi

One afternoon, I was craving for kimchi and thought of cooking Chow Mien to complement with the side dish. And my craving was satisfied. LOL

Auroraville Resort

It was a biglaang yaya from my friend and since I love swimming so without any second thoughts I immediately agreed. We just planned this a night before so we were not that really prepared but it's fine since only three of us who were free that time - my friend, her boyfriend and I. That night was also the time we searched for a nice and affordable resort near our place. Among the resorts we found, we chose Auroraville Resort located at 41 Carreon Village, San Bartolome, Novaliches, QC. We just based it on the pictures we see through their Facebook profile. =)

When we arrived at the place, we thought that the pool was already jampacked but we were wrong. There were two separate swimming pools pala and the one we saw was rented already. Then the staff guided us to the non-private pool and we really got excited 'coz there were no other people swimming but only the three of us. The pool wasn't bad at all. It wasn't that big but at least it was clean.

As you can see, we were on a budget and as I've said earlier, we were not prepared so my friend just cooked whatever was available in their fridge. Her BF just brought some mangoes, a corn and drinks. I bought chips.

We had photo ops in the water. Sulit talaga ang underwater cam ko. =)

Of course, I have my own solo shot. Pang Facebook lang ang peg. LOL

By the way, we only paid P120 ($4) per person. The price was really affordable and reasonable. We didn't rent a kubo/hut since the tables are free. They also have a clean shower room. We were not that choosy that's I guess this resort was okay of us.

Communication

Communication is essential among physicians especially when they are in an emergency situation. Dealing with patient's life is not easy. There's no trial and error so everything must be done correctly do avoid any mistakes or accidents for the patients. So a good connection among physicians is really helpful to be able to make the necessary referrals. A good network for physicians will help them communicate with each other. Like Stephen Daquino DO, he has a Doximity profile wherein his educational background, training, address and contact numbers are indicated. In that way, other doctors can reach him in a private way where only physicians can see his profile. Doximity profiles of physicians can also be accessed through Web, iPhone and Android for free. This is really a convenient way of communication among doctors.

Caterpillar

Sorry for the poor quality of my picture. Anyways, this creature was eating the leaves of my calamansi plant but I can't bear to kill him 'coz he's so cute and tiny so I just transferred him to the grasses. The next day to my surprise, he's on my calamansi plant again so I had to do the same thing until I gave up but one day, I've noticed that he's not there anymore. I guess he already transformed into a beautiful butterfly, though I didn't see his cocoon. Who knows...

Caterpillar Crawling on our Door

Last year of June, I saw this caterpillar crawling on our door. I hate caterpillars, they are itchy and it hurts if you touch it. I had accidentally touched a caterpillar when I was gardening and it really hurt my hand. It was very very itchy that my hand turned reddish. Its needle-like hair was very hard to remove from my hands. I didn't put any medicine or ointment on it. The itchiness just went away after a couple of minutes. So the next time I go gardening, I made a point to wear gloves to avoid hurting my hands. =)

Effexor Lawsuit

Be careful with the medications that you are taking especially when you are pregnant. It's best to consult your doctor first before taking any type of drugs as this might affect your baby's development inside your womb. It's very crucial to take medicines that are not prescribed by the doctor during the first trimester. But what if it's not your fault? You can find lawyers who can help you about this matter like the Effexor Lawsuit. Effexor is an antidepressant drug that may cause birth defects to the baby (e.g. club foot, heart problems, or club foot). So it's best to seek medical advice before taking any drugs. Self-medication might harm your baby.

10 Things Your Dog Would Tell You

1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful: remember that before you get me.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me- it is crucial to my well being.
4. Do not be angry at me for long, and do not lock me up as punishment.
5. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I only have you.
6. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understands your words, I understand your voice when it is speaking to me.
7. Be aware that how ever you treat me, I will never forget.
8. Remember before you hit me that I have teeth that could easily hurt you, but I choose not to bite you because I love you.
9. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate,or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I might not be getting the right food, or I have been out too long, or my heart is getting to old and weak.
10. Take care of me when I get old; you too will grow old. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say: "I cannot bear to watch" or "Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me if you are there, even my death.
Remember that I love you.

I got this article from Facebook and I was really touched since I am a dog lover and there's a possibility that I might work abroad and leave our dogs. It's something that would really break my heart but I have to make a decision for my career also. I hope he would understand me. I know if that happens, he would really miss me. =(
