Caterpillars

These pictures were taken last year of July when our garden were filled with caterpillars so I couldn't help but to take pictures of them. It was kinda' gross 'coz I hate caterpillars. LOL

I also saw this cute little creature from our other calamansi plant.

I saw a lot of them from the same plant and I really felt goosebumps.

 Another caterpillars...

Doesn't it look pretty?

After a couple of days, I saw these on the same plant where I saw the caterpillars. I think this was their pupa. Wow! Those scary caterpillars have turned into color and beautiful butterflies. Too bad I wasn't able to take pictures of them 'coz I saw some butterflies flying on our garden.

I hope to see these scary but cute little creatures again this year. I love seeing our garden with lots of butterflies. =)

Team USTe

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
No, we are not students of UST nor their volleyball players. This was just a concept of the organizers of the recent volleyball league that we have joined in. Each team will represent a certain name of a university/college. It's like NCAA, UAAP or V-League. This was really fun and there were a total of 8 teams who joined. The teams were: UP, Miriam College, San Beda College, San Sebastian College, Collegio de San Juan de Letran, Ateneo De Manila, De La Salle University and University of Santo Thomas.

Our team was undefeated because our boys are really good. But when the championship came, we were defeated by the De La Salle University team. They were the champions and we only bagged the first place. It was really ironic for us 'coz we were a strong team. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the game and I was able to meet new people. That's life in every sport. Sometimes we win, and sometimes we lose. "Bilog and bola." But it doesn't really matter for me as long as we are enjoying it.

Our team! There were 8 players including the one who took this picture. LOL This picture was taken during our first game. My friend and I didn't have the uniform yet since we had to alter it 'coz it was too big for us.

Here's how I look when I was wearing my uniform. LOL

You see, volleyball is really my addiction. If you are a reader of my blog, you might already read a lot of blog posts that contain volleyball topics. I am really a sports lover and will always be for the rest of my life. =)

Though there are ups and downs of joining a group sports and I've learned a lot from it like 1.)Unity with the team - this is a team sports so we had to work together. 2.)Patience -there are times that we are not able to play that long inside the court that sometimes we only play for one set. It's not always that we're able to deliver good quality of game so don't hate yourself for that. Be patient with bully opponents or audience - just ignore them. Be patient with bias linesmen - that happened to us. This sport needs a lot of patience even with your teammates. 3.) Learn to trust your teammates - just believe in what your teammates can do besides, everyone commits mistakes inside the court. 4.) Don't underestimate your opponents and even your teammates.  5.) Don't be greedy with the ball ("wag maging buwakaw sa bola") - as I've said, we should learn to trust our teammates so we should let them do their part and we shouldn't snatch the ball from them. Sometimes, greediness is one of the factors why a team in volleyball loses. 6.) Communicate well with the team and be open to them. 7.) Be a good leader - this applies to the captain ball. He/she should lead his/her team well and should be a responsible leader for them.

Oh! Sorry for making this post long. There are a lot of lesson you can learn in every sports and some of them are those I've mentioned above. How about you? Do you have any favorite sports?

Work vs. Blogging

I had a hard time balancing my time between work and blogging. There’s a time that I can blog everyday then there will come a time that I’m on a hiatus for more or less than a week. It’s something that I had to deal with eversince I started blogging. I wanted to join private blog network but I can’t devote enough time for it and I don’t want to be unfair with the other bloggers.Anyways, in spite of my busy schedule I will really find time to write on my blog since I love doing it. Besides, it’s where I put/write my most treasured memories like special events, travels, food and any random thoughts which I think are worth remembering.

The Birthday Celebrants

Me and my other two friends' celebrate our birthdays on June. So we decided to celebrate it one day. It's like a sort of reunion at the same time since we rarely see other. We were supposed to go to Enchanted Kingdom and TagayTIDES but for some reason, we ended up celebrating it at our residence.

The birthday celebrant! Don't mind the clutter on the background. LOL We decided to have a potluck for the food to save time in preparing. Of course, this is also a drink session so you see 3 big bottles of beer... sobrang healthy ng lifestyle namin. Hahaha!!!

With my girlfriends. The first and second from left are the other birthday celebrants.

Our cute and yummy cake... Too bad we didn't blow any candles...

The last person to arrive at the party was our one and only guy. This picture is funny. Butchie was staring at food he was holding. LOL

We really had a lot of fun that night. I miss these people a lot. Some of them haven't seen me for more than a year so the first thing they told me the moment they saw me was: "Ang taba mo na." Hahaha!!!

NBA Finals

Everyone's going crazy about who's going to win between the Oklahoma City Thunders and Miami Heat. Everytime I check my Facebook, it's what I read from my friends' wall. Gosh! If the venue wasn't a thousand miles away I guess a lot of Filipino's could've bought tickets like the minnesota twins tickets, los angeles dodgers tickets or milwaukee brewers tickets to watch the game. I tried to watch the game this morning and it was really exciting. I'm not a big fan of basketball but I got carried away by how these people around me keep track of the games.

A 1000 Peso Bill

Yesterday, my friend and I dropped by at National Bookstore Katipunan to buy a double sided tape because the ribbon of my shoe was about to fall off. While I was paying at the cashier, I looked at my shoe to check the ribbon to my surprise, I saw a crumpled 1000 peso bill in between my two feet. I didn't know how to react that time 'coz I was really shocked so I called the attention of my friend. I was the only person on the line and my friend was about 3 feet away from me. Since some of my coins fell, I hurriedly picked them up including the 1000 peso bill and approach my friend telling her "I saw a money!" So we had a brief discussion in one corner of the store to whether should I return the money or not. After a few minutes, we decided not to return it. Why? Because we are sure that nobody will claim it besides, there's no name in it. If it's a wallet or anything that has an identification, we will return it to the authority of that store without thinking twice. I know some who read this might give a think negatively but who knows? This is really a blessing for me since my birthday will be the next day. My friend told me that "Maybe that's really for me so I can buy a new pair of shoes." LOL

So off we went to Shakey's. I treated my friend a lunch. Supposedly, we were going to eat at McDonald's but that incident changed our mind. While we were waiting for our order, I still can't believe about it. I asked myself "Is it a gift from God?"

Before we got home, we dropped by at SM Fairview to buy milk tea at Bubbatealicious. Off course, it's a treat again to my friend. We have to share our blessings, right?

As of writing this blog post, I am a year older now. So I thought to myself that I should really set priorities to myself and thank God for every blessings that He's been giving me. =)

Smokin' Cold Tanduay Ice

Love drinking ice cold beers and of course, Tanduay Ice. Hehe... I'm expecting a lot of drinking this coming week since my birthday is just around the corner but I don't think Tanduay Ice will be my choice since I have a very sensitive stomach. I love its taste including its two other flavors but I can't drink more than a bottle of it or else acidity will say hello to my tummy and I hate that feeling. Besides, I want to enjoy on my big day and not suffer from uncomfortable feelings while having fun with friends.

Sophie Summer is the ANTM Cycle 18 Winner!

Photo from digital spy

I really got hooked watching cycle 18 and really watched it since day 1. I was really excited to see who will win since I both like the 2 finalists but in the end, this cute and bubbly finalist from the UK won the hearts of judges. Sophie Summer did well on the competition, she won best picture on some of the challenges, she's good in walking and she's got a very nice personality. On the other hand, Laura LaFrate, the runner up also did well on the final challenge, she's really a strong contender and won a lot of challenges. I guess the judges had a hard time on choosing the winner. Well all I can say is, congratulations to both of them. =)

Quiapo

Last Wednesday, Paul and I went to Quiapo to buy some stuffs there. We planned to walk around the place to look for some interesting things and buy some supplies for his work, or maybe some beads for my hobby.

But before heading to Quiapo, we had our lunch first at Yellow Cab. We both love their pizza. This 10 inch pizza already filled our hungry tummies. So after eating we went straight to Quiapo. We were thankful that it didn't rain there.

When we got there, we went first to Hidalgo St. to do some window shopping for cameras. We are not a huge fan of camera nor photography but we were amazed about the old cameras that they are still selling there. Afterwards, we went to find the street were the optical supplies were being sold. We almost got lost but Paul asked the vendors around the place so we were able to find Paterno St. - were the optical and dental supplies can be found.

Paul even bought me a pair of colored contact lens. I never tried wearing contact lens before 'coz I find it uncomfortable but I want to give it a try this time. I got confused in choosing the right color for me, so Paul chose Pure Hazel for me. I hope this will look good on me.

Our last stop was at Villalobos St. I used to go here when I was in college because I used to sell accessories. I am thinking about selling again since I'm getting hooked with creating earrings, necklaces and bracelets. For now, we only bought few materials. I got confused on which to buy since I was overwhelmed by the numbers of beads and other materials I saw in the store.

After our shopping in Quiapo, we went to Timog to have some beer, barbecues and chicharong bulaklak. We got tired from walking and it was worth enjoying. I discovered a lot of things in Quiapo again. Though I've been here a lot of times, I never tried to explore the place.
