I Will Forever Miss You, Butchie

Last week was one of the saddest moment of my life when I receive a message from my family in the Philippines that my everdearest dog was dying. At first, I was in denial. He was like a human to us all. So I decided to talk to him and I was really shocked when I said my goodbyes and thank you's to him, he suddenly responded with his very weak growls. I broke down the moment I heard his voice. I really cried. I can't believe that my very best buddy is leaving me and I can't even see and hug him anymore. It really hurts a lot now that I'm very far from him. To a dog lover like me, you will understand how I'm feeling right now. Until now, my heart is still aching on loosing one of the most important thing in my life. I treated him more than a pet. I treated him like my real baby. I hope he is happy now. I'm sure he has a life well-lived since we gave all the love we can give to him especially me who loved him from the deepest of my heart. To commemorate his life on earth, I just want to share you some of the pictures I found in my albums. Actually, I got lots of pictures of him.

I remember the very first day I saw you. I immediately hugged you 'coz I found you really cute. And you we're crying a lot that time and the only thing to make you stop was to carry you. I was from work that time and was really tired but you relieved it.

When your teeth were starting to grow, I must admit I always scold you because you broke a lot of things in our house especially my new pair of shoes that I was able to wear only once. So I just bought you a toy instead.

You love biting our rugs. You destroyed all the rugs at home so we just had to use cheap rugs.

You are such a very playful doggie. We get to play almost everyday when I was still at home. There's no dull moment at home because of you.

Those simple joys you show us everytime we bring you home your favorite bones. It's priceless for me to see you very happy wagging your tail.

The way you entertained my friends. You really made them happy.

You love to sleep on our sofa so we bought a mat for you and you are really a smart dog because you only lie on the part where we put the mat.

I love hugging you. We've got lots of pictures together. Every morning when I woke up, the very first thing I would do was to hug you and you would put your head on my shoulder. That was so sweet of you.

I will forever miss your smiles. You became immune on posing in front of the camera because I love taking pictures of you.

I will forever miss you my baby, my best friend, best buddy, protective friend, loyal friend, my nephew. I will forever appreciate all the things you've done to me and to my family. I love your very much, Butchie. :(

Exploring KSA - Mountains/Rock Formations

Last January, my co-workers invited me to go to the Red Sand. This is my first time to explore KSA and I didn't know that this country is beautiful in its own unique way. I was really amazed with all the stuff that I've seen while we were on our way to the Red Sand. So before I share you my experience in the Red Sand, I'd like to share some photos/sceneries while we we're on our way to our destination.

When we were out of the main city, these rock formations greeted us.
A steep road. Kinda' scary. LOL
This looks creepy. I got goosebumps when I first saw this.

If you could have only seen my facial expression while looking at these wonderful sceneries. All I could say was "Wow!" It was my very first time to see these things so I was really speechless while some of my companions tell some stories about the places we passed by and of course, the Red Sand while me, my eyes are all on the dessert and mountains.

Back Aches

As an OB Nurse, it is our duty to assist our patient in ambulating especially if the patient is a post-Caesarian since she's in deep pain and sometimes she has mild to moderate dizziness. The challenge for me as a nurse comes in, I had to assist her from her bed to get up and sometimes I had to carry her weight. But not all patients are like that. I really appreciate those patients who know how to help themselves. I work in a private hospital so sometimes I deal with stubborn and uncooperative patients.

Another thing is, when we receive a post-Caesarian patient, we had to transfer her from the stretcher to her bed wherein lifting the patient is needed. Mind you, we don't have Nursing Aids so the OR nurses and Ward nurses are the ones who will do the lifting. And what makes it harder is that when the patient is heavy. LOL

So now, I'm suffering from back aches. I bought an ointment and it helps relieves my muscle pain but not for long. I think I need a massage but I have no idea where to have one. As a woman, it's not easy going out anywhere you want in KSA. So I'm trying to just switch my ointment and hopefully I'll be able to find a good one here http://www.smallflower.com/. As of now, I'm trying to find a good brand here.

I also sleep a lot during my day off and do a little exercise. I eat healthy foods and take my vitamins also. As a healthcare worker, I need to take care of my health and it's my very important investment in life.
