Photo not mine.

First of all, I want to greet "Ramadan Kareem" to all our Muslim brothers and sisters. This is the holy month of fasting. I think this is a solemn month for them wherein I see them praying and reading the Quran. So we, non-muslims respect this month and we don't eat or drink in front of them during their fasting period. Sometimes I used to fast with my Muslim co-worker and eat with her when it's time to eat.

This is also the month where me and my friends go out during our free time at night. We went out dining and eating. There was a lot of discount stuff during Ramadan like clothes, shoes, bags, appliances, gadgets, kitchenware, etc. So we visit different stores and malls. My friends and I are scouting for items on sale which we could put in our Balikbayan boxes to send to the Phillippines.

That's how I was after shopping. My shopping was almost full of a lot of different things like my food stock and the things that I would put inside my Balikbayan box. It's what most of us OFWs do abroad. We do shopping to treat ourselves because we work most of the time and it's our way of enjoying our life away from family and home.

I don't have a sweet tooth but there were times that I bought a donut. I rarely buy a box of it. If so,  share it with my housemates. I bought something sweet after a very tiring shopping.

Somehow I miss Saudi, not just the Ramadan. Actually, there's a lot of things I miss. My workmates, friends, food, shopping, and travels. During Ramadan, our Doctors and workmates would bring us Kabsa at Iftar (break of fast).

Tagaytay Highlands

There's this place in Tagaytay that's called Tagaytay Highlands wherein we stayed for 2 days and 1 night. This place is great for rest and relaxation because everything's already in here like food, golf, swimming, etc. You wouldn't want to get out of this place but instead, stay and enjoy their amenities.

The ambiance was very nice and I felt like I was in another country in Europe.

We stayed in this building and the room was really big that's perfect for a big family.

Of course, there was a view of Taal Volcano.

One of the things that I've enjoyed here was riding the cable car. I was really amused that I forgot to take pictures while I was inside the cable car.

They also have a mini zoo. This is what I have enjoyed the most - to get to up close to this cute bird. At first, I was kinda scared but this one is really nice.

They also have a swimming pool wherein my niece who was still a baby at that time enjoyed dipping in the water. We could see the cable cars down here.

This place is indeed perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of Manila.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Buying a Luxury Car

Owning a luxury car can be a sign of success. Whether you dream of owning a sports car or a luxury SUV, a luxury car brand is a sign of quality. As well as the status symbol, you’re getting a car with a lot of high-end features, a high-speed engine, and impressive aesthetics. But should you buy one?

Image - free for commercial use

Advantage: Performance
Upscale vehicles like those from Audi, Jaguar, or Mercedes, are very popular. These cars are not only designed to be beautiful inside and out, and they also tend to outperform lower-end vehicles.

Even used models will usually have more features than a new car from a lower-end manufacturer.

You can also expect luxury features that improve performance, like Jaguar Adblue

Disadvantage: Price
A luxury car is always going to be pricey, and this cost can be hard to cough up. Unless you have a lot of disposable income and are able to cover the price tag of a luxury car upfront, you will have to change your budget to be able to save up for your dream car.

The price tag of these cars is justified by the design, power, and features.

Despite the price, most luxury cars will hold their value well, which is a bonus if you want to resell. To make sure yours will do this, make sure you do plenty of research before deciding to what to buy.

Advantage: Buy Used
If you want a luxury car, but don’t want the large price of buying new, you can find a good deal by buying a used car.

By doing this, you can get all the bonuses and high-powered performance of a new luxury vehicle, and the status symbol of the brand, but without the upfront cost.

A used car can have higher maintenance costs than a new car, but you will save plenty on the cost of the car itself.

Disadvantage: Selling Is Hard
Luxury cars don’t drop in value at the same rate as a lower-end vehicle, but all cars will depreciate over time.

No matter how many perks your car has, the newest model will always be worth more. There are plenty of car dealerships who will take on your used car for resale, but by selling this way, you might be hit by a  harshly knocked down prices of resale.

To get a fair price, make sure you know what the fair value of your car should be, with the mileage and the condition of the engine taken into account.

Advantage: Safety
When you’re in the market for a new car, you need it to do the simple things before you worry about luxury. What is the performance like, and is the car safe?

Luxury cars are designed with upscale features in mind, but they are also made with safety as a priority too. Upscale cars are usually equipped with lots of safety features, like reliable ABS, a full set of airbags, and good traction control to keep you safe as your drive.

Swimming in Colinas Verdes Clubhouse

This is a very nice place to go to if you live around Quezon City, Caloocan or Bulacan if you want to unwind over the weekend and want to just take a deep in the pool. This place was just new at that time so the amenities were still new and clean. I really loved the place and we will definitely keep on coming back here.

Here are some of the views that I've taken:

Of course, this little cutie had a lot of fun although she did not went swimming since she was not allowed.

They also have a minibar wherein you can order food and drinks. They have a place for bowling. The clubhouse can be used as an event's place like debut, wedding, etc.

Disney on Ice

I know that this was a long time ago but this is my first time watching Disney on Ice. My family decided to watch it for our niece to have fun during the Christmas Season. Watching this gives a lot of entertainment for me because I love Disney and it was my childhood dream to become an ice skater. We used to go to Megamall to play ice skating when I was in grade school.

So this show brought back memories for me. I wish I learned more about ice skating. I was really entertained and amazed seeing the Disney characters as they showed different ice skates moves and tricks.

This is just some part of the show.

I don't know if she already knows what she was watching but she's so adorable. She was really behaved while we were watching because she did not cry and made noise. I hope she had a good time eventhough she was just a baby at that time.

My Niece's 7th Birthday

More than a month ago, there was a plan on how my niece's 7th birthday will be celebrated. But unfortunately, ECQ (Enhanced Community Quarantine) was ordered. So we had no choice but to cancel the celebration. They just celebrated at home with simple decorations and food in their home. What's important was my niece still enjoyed the simple celebration.

Here's a photo of her when she was still a baby. This was during the day of her Christening. She was opening her gifts. Time flies so fast. She was just a little baby here and now she's a big girl already. Maybe we will just celebrate her birthday next year and maybe do the kind of celebration that's supposed to be done this year.

After all, the safety of us is what's more important. We should follow what is ordered for the safety of most people. We should cooperate and do our part as Filipino citizens in this country.

My Niece's 3rd Month Birthday

She is my first niece, the daughter of my brother. We had a simple celebration of her third month birthday with the close family. She's so cute and cuddly here. Now, she's already grown up and the next thing I knew, she's bigger than me. LOL

Movie Date with Friend

Whenever we have time, my friend and I always go to the mall to watch a movie and eat. It's our way of bonding since we're friends since we were in 5th grade. This was already a long time ago and I think this is my chance to post in my blog.

Until now, we do this during our free time. The usual watching of movie then eating a snack or lunch/dinner. But we opted to have a bottle of flavored beer. We usually drink at home because I find it more comfortble so that we can sleep right away when we got drunk.
